CANILLO SKI HOLIDAYS

Canillo is located on the Grandvalira ski region and whilst the lifts from Canillo have to reach fairly deep into the Grandvalira before they access any substantial skiing, there is a beginners area at mid-station, as well as a lift and some ski pistes above mid-station. The real skiing however is located over toward the El Tarter and Soldeu areas, whilst skiers and boarders can easily carry on in this direction and access the Grau Roig area and then slightly further, the Pas de la Casa ski area. The main drawback of Canillo is the lack of ski piste back to the resort; the return to Canillo involves a download in the gondola. The lift complex is located centrally and is modern with an impressive building and facilities.

The skiing above Canillo is reached by the gondola that reaches the mid-station and a beginners area. From here skiers and snowboarders can access the Grandvalira ski area above El Tarter and beyond.
