ALPBACH FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

Alpbach has a real family feel; the village offers a romantic and dreamy winter atmosphere, the pace of life is slow and the clientele usually fairly well-healed. Traffic tends to be local and the roads offer interesting and safe passage between the undulating areas of Alpbach. Restaurants and hotels tend to encourage families and Alpbach has evolved as a destination where generations of the same family keep returning. The ski area is compact, mostly below the tree-line which is ideal in poor weather and beginners and intermediate skiers are well favoured by the terrain.

ALPBACH FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

The principle gripe with Alpbach is the detached nature of the ski area and the village. Ski buses or private transport are necessities which is never great when trying to get kids to the slopes. The ski buses are frequent and run from much of the village but they are never ideal when trying to get a kid to the slopes in full possession of all ski equipment and happy. The accommodation located at Inneralpbach offers a better location for the ski slopes and lifts than Alpbach but whilst the area is attractive it lacks the intimacy and charm of Alpbach.

The easy nature of the slopes of Aplbach brings famalies which means the ski school has a good range of kids of all ages and abilities.

Did not go on a fmaily trip, but i assume having a good range of hotels, would provide all the amenities for families.
