Alpbach is an exceptional resort for a family with youngs kids who are learning to Ski.

Alpbach offers the authenticity of an original Austrian Mountain village while still delivering all required of a first class resort.

The easy nature of the slopes of Aplbach brings famalies which means the ski school has a good range of kids of all ages and abilities.

Certainly did not feel as though we were missing anything by spending New Years eve in Alpbach!

Overall a good resort, but some of the lifts were not working and a bit slow somtimes. For begginners and intermediates i think it is perfect.

It is an attractive resort, good amounts of older housing and buildings etc. There a good range of hotels, ranging from basic 1/2 star to your 5 star extravaganza, whith all the mod cons, swimming pools, scating etc.

Did not go on a fmaily trip, but i assume having a good range of hotels, would provide all the amenities for families.

Good range fo bars, i found the english mainly stuck to a couple of english themed pubs, which i prefered to stay away from as i live in the Uk and wanted to experience somthing different. Overall a good range, but some are a little expensive at 4/5 euros a beer. However the autrian beers are good.

Really interesting ski area - very pretty tree lined runs and beautiful views. Good for families.

A really beautiful resort - it is a little away from the ski pistes which is the only down side.

Ski area is really family orientated and there seems to be some good family hotels.

Not manic apres ski, but a fun umbrella bar and a wooden hut type pub in the centre! Everywhere has schapps which is the most important thing!

Good skiing for beginners and lower intermediates in Alpbach. Very little advanced skiing though and better and adventurous intermediates might find the ski area small.

Alpbach is hard to beat in terms of resort charm and atmosphere, it is magical. Facilities are pretty good and prices about average.

Great atmosphere in Alpbach but the dislocation between slopes and resort is one drawback. Inneralpbach has slope-side accommodation.

Pretty good après ski in Alpbach by the lifts and then later in the resort itself.
