Altenmarkt offers a good family and beginners ski area on the edge of the town. Intermediates will have to head to Zauchensee though, which is excellent for intermediates.

Altenmarkt is an authentic working town and home to Atomic ski. Good facilities and very good prices.

The local ski area at Altenmarkt is great for families as are the facilities in the town but the need for a ski bus is one drawback for families.
