AXAMER LIZUM APRÈS SKI

Apres ski in Axamer Lizum is a mixed bag. There are some pretty enjoyable spots dotted around the resort and the Dohlennest on the main blue back to the village is a regular stop off for those wanting to turn bad ski technique into terrible ski technique. Axamer Lizum has a tepee bar, an umbrella bar and an Alm bar that all offer fairly decent apres ski. The problem is that it fizzles out pretty quickly as guests leave by car or bus back to their accommodation outside of Axamer Lizum.

Good huts and good choice below in valley

  We don`t like:
Limited to a couple of slope-side bars in Lizum

  You like:
"If you don't mind skiing down after a few beers the dohlensnest at the damenabfahrt is a great place to stop by."

  You don`t like:
"A bit limited get the bus to valley floor."

AXAMER LIZUM APRÈS SKI INFORMATION

Alternatives to Axamer Lizum apres ski include the villages of Axams, Birgitz and Gotzens which offer drinking in bars that goes late into the night or Mutters which has a good apres ski bar at its base station. Innsbruck is accessible from all these villages as well as from Axamer Lizum, although this is a longer journey. Innsbruck offers less apres ski but more city based bars, with a huge spectrum on offer.

There is a good outdoor bar (with heaters) at the bottom of Axama Litzum which plays cheesy apres ski songs. A good finish to your day on the slopes.
