Not such a good place for beginners , but the slopes are wide & not too busy. There is plenty of variety for off piste & you don't have too look far for a mini adventure

Probably not the prettiest resort, it's small & functional. The lift system is reasonably modern & has plans to expand to link up with other resorts nearby.

The blue run was great for beginners like me and there is a lot of choice for intermediate/advanced skier/snowboarders.

I really liked this resort, it was a great day out and the board/boot hire was excellent.

There is a good outdoor bar (with heaters) at the bottom of Axama Litzum which plays cheesy apres ski songs. A good finish to your day on the slopes.

Nice long runs, not the biggest area around but enough to keep you going for a couple of days. Some great hidden off piste runs if you're with someone in the know!

Great restaurant at the top of the olmypiabahn.

Aprez ski not crazy like in the big resorts!

A relatively steep beginners slope but otherwise a good area for beginner/intermediates. Sometimes the slopes can be really empty, which is great!

Although there are really beautiful surroundings, the resort itself is not the prettiest, due to a few dodgy hotel buildings

Prices are really quite inexpensive for beer and wine on and off the slopes, but there is not the wildest apres ski atmosphere - an umbrella bar and an apres ski hut.

Limited learning area. Great tree skiing . The incredible ski out to Goetzens via the rear side of the resort. This felt like a real adventure on a wide secluded and very snow sure trail. It has become my favourite way off the mountaion . Ask for directions it is very simple and remember you can ski out and catch the bus home to Innsbruck in Goetzens !! I guess the whole piste is approx 5 klm from start toi finish a real adventure !

Great spot mediocre buildings. Okay access to Innsbruck . Alternatively stay there and experience real ski in ski out all week .

A safe and relaxes resort . It may seem on top of the world but Innsbruck is not far away .

Good Apres straight from skiing but most eveninmg entertainment takes place in the hotels after dark.

Beginner Skiing nice t-bar at the bottom of the resort. the slope is not too steep and ideal for beginners. Intermediate Skiing the so called damenabfahrt is a very nice slope for intermediate skiers. during the 1976 olympics the womens downhill took place here. Advanced Skiing the herrenabfahrt - or mens downhill - is a nice steeper run. the birgitskoepfl run is a great mogul run for advanced skiers. Off-piste skiing there is some fantastic off piste skiing when there is enough powder. unfortunately i won't tell you where, but if you look around you will find the great off piste spots yourself.

prices very fair. beautiful views. nice and modern lifts. great modern restaurant at the top of the mountain.

Apres ski overall i used to party in the lizum alm, which is located at the bottom of the resort. unfortunately they only serve small beers now and so i don't go there anymore. there is an apres ski umbrella bar at the parking lot. if you don't mind skiing down after a few beers the dohlensnest at the damenabfahrt is a great place to stop by. especially during march there is a lot of sun there.

Axamer Lizum has only a small area for beginners and is not particularly flat. Intermediates have some great terrain which is now complemented by connections to Mutters and Gotzens. Advanced and off-piste can be great.

Good prices and stunning location. The large car park and Olympia hotel do no justice to the surroundings.

There is a kids creche right in the centre of the resort and the resort is essentially ski-in, ski-out. Night time tobogganing is great for families but there is little real atmosphere.

Great value and good early on but soon dies down. Better down in Innsbruck.
