Ehrwald, Austria skiing and snowboarding guide in the Zugspitz Arena, Austria.
How you rate it

EHRWALD SKIING
There are numerous small ski areas located across the Zugspitz Arena with Ehrwald serving the ski areas of Ehrwalder Alm and Wettersteinbahn as well as the Zubspitzplatt (on the German side of the border and accessible with multi day ski passes). All areas best cater for beginners and early intermediate skiers and snowboarders given the size and gradient of the terrain. The Ehrwalder Alm and Wettersteinbahn are located on the fringes of the northern edge of Ehrwald whilst the Zubspitzplatt ski area is accessed via the dramatic Zugspitz lift station at 2962m. Lermoos is another ski area close to Ehrwald that is medium sized. The Zugspitz Arena ski region is popular with families.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Good options for beginners and early intermediates
We don`t like:
Unconnected small ski areas throughout the Zugspitz Arena with little tough terrain
