EHRWALD SKI HOLIDAYS

The main village and ski holiday resort in the Zugspitz Arena, Ehrwald accesses a number of small ski areas and is famous for its cross country / langlauf trails as well as the mighty Zugspitz mountain, the highest point in Germany with the border running through the mountain. With a resort height of some 1000m and peaks up to almost 3000m the scenery is striking. Ehrwald itself is located in the flat and wide valley. The skiing is best suited to beginners and families, although intermediates will be OK by skiing in the several ski areas around the Zugspitz Arena. The skiing on the Zugspitz is confined to an area on the German side of the border but multi-day passes cover access to this German ski area. The ride up to the Zugspitz ski area is highly impressive.
