ELLMAU FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The gentle slopes of the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region above Ellmau offer great ski terrain for the family. The ski pistes are nearly all below the tree-line which is ideal for families when bad weather sets in. Ellmau has a learners area just outside of the village and this area extends to form a large beginners section that is shared with the neighbouring village of Going. Ellmau has a relaxed feel to it and families are the norm in the village and being bigger than its near neighbours of Scheffau and Going, Ellmau has a good range of facilities that surpass these other resorts.

ELLMAU FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

One of the downside to the resort of Ellmau for families is the spread out nature of the resort. Whilst centrally located accommodation is ideal for accessing the facilities and attractions of the village, the main lift connecting Ellmau to the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region leaves form outside the centre. Thus families have to make a choice between proximity to the Hartkaiser funicular or the resort centre.
