ELLMAU SKI HOLIDAYS

Ellmau is located on the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski area and although it is at the far end of the ski area, it has many things to recommend it as a base for a ski holiday there. Ellmau is a really pretty and traditional Austrian village. it is great for families being much quieter than the nearby Soll and has far more amenities than its neighbours of Going and Scheffau. As for the skiing then Ellmau accesses the biggest lift-linked ski area in Austria, the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region. The Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser has over 90 lifts and some 250km of ski pistes. The skiing tends to favour the beginner whilst any competent intermediate can navigate their way the full length of the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser and back in a day.

ELLMAU SKI HOLIDAY INFO

Intermediates will be most satisfied with the skiing in Ellmau and Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser area, as there are endless km’s of red and blue ski pistes that take in many ski connected ski areas. Beginners have some good gentle slopes above the village of Ellmau, whilst advanced skiers will want to ski over to the Hohe Salve for some steeps.
