Fiss, Austria skiing guide. Fiss is the central ski holiday resort in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski region. Fiss skiing is ideal for intermediates but there is some good off-piste and family friendly skiing in Fiss is outstanding.

The skiing resort Fiss is connected to Ladis and Serfaus, which is together really a great resort for almost everyone. From beginner to pro and from single to family. Espescially families with children can have a great holiday there, and the ski schools have a good prepared learning area for the little ones. The terrain park offers a cool skiercross, and especially in Lazid, the freeriders will find a great challenging terrain.

FISS SKIING

Fiss and the ski holiday area that it shares with Serfaus and Ladis is one of the best intermediate ski areas in Austria and beyond, whilst the child facilities make it one of the better family ski holiday resorts in the entire Alps. The ski area is extensive and spreads in both directions from Fiss which is basically the central ski holiday resort in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski region. Toward Ladis the skiing is gentle with a long gentle ski piste connecting Ladis and Fiss and passes by several kids skiing features / themed parks and a couple of mountain huts. Above Fiss the ski lifts take 2 directions, one is into the top point of the Fiss area and the skiing that takes place in the next valley, the other direction is toward Serfaus.

FISS SKI INFORMATION

The skiing in Fiss is ideal for intermediates and whilst Fiss lacks the beginners ski area in the resort itself that Serfaus boasts, Fiss is similarly a great area for beginners and families. The skiing in Fiss is almost all above the tree line and the ski area facing Fiss is a large bowl with ski pistes and tracks running across the bowl. Ladis offers further beginner terrain whilst Serfaus offers superb intermediate cruising into several valleys. It is possible to ski a good distance out of Fiss and into the Serfaus region.
