FLACHAU THE RESORT

The resort of Flachau is a fairly spread out village and stretches along the valley. There are a number of lifts leaving Flachau and most areas in the village are reasonably close to one of the lifts. That said ski buses are required from some of the accommodation in Flachau. There is a main road that runs the length of Flachau and accommodation and facilities are located along this route. Sections of the village are off the main road but there is no substantial pedestrianised area that are common in many other Austrian alpine villages.

FLACHAU RESORT INFORMATION

Flachau is one of the principal resorts in the ski region south of Salzburg, it has a good range of facilities and superb transport connections with both Salzburg and Salzburg airport. The beginners ski area and the lifts accessing the main ski area are well located. As the village is somewhat sprawling then walks to and from the centre and ski buses to the lifts are sometimes required from accommodation in Flachau.
