GALTUR APRÈS SKI

Galtur is no different than any other ski holiday resort in Austria. Once the lifts close then there will be a number of people congregating in a bar or bars to relax and unwind and reflect on the day on the mountain. Galtur however does not have the most pulsating apres ski in the region, it is generally pretty restrained and confined to early evening. Bars open late and for those wanting to celebrate then it is possible; it is just not as common in Galtur as in many Austrian ski holiday resorts.

Some slope-side bars in Wirl and village based bars in Galtur

  We don`t like:
Compared to Ischgl, Galtur has the atmosphere of the British library

GALTUR APRÈS SKI INFORMATION

For those wanting the near perfect apres ski destination then Ischgl, some 6 miles down the valley offers apres ski that is almost as good as it gets, anywhere. In Ischgl apres ski starts mid afternoon and carries on almost till the lifts start again. Après ski in Ischgl is certainly a mass participation sport and the place heaves with bars and revellers. A night out in Ischgl for those on a ski holiday in Galtur is certainly a good option for apres ski.

The Weiberhimmel is very popular and known even outside from Tirol and Austria. I have already had really great Apres Ski fun there.
