GALTUR SKI HOLIDAYS
Galtur offers one of the higher ski holiday resort elevations in Austria, at close to 1600m. The Paznaun valley that Galtur occupies one end of is famed for its snow accumulation. Galtur shares the valley with one of the most famous ski holiday resorts in the world – Ischgl. A ski pass covers both resorts as well as the resorts of See and Kappl, further down the valley. The ski area at Galtur is compact but has some excellent trails with a real wilderness feel. Galtur is popular with families and there is an extensive beginners area right on the edge of the resort. Galtur is a low rise and charming resort although the location is dramatic and isolated at the head of the valley. In poor weather the area can be bleak to say the least.

GALTUR SKI HOLIDAY INFO
The skiing in Galtur is both compact and limited to beginners and intermediate skiers and boarders. There is little on piste to test the better skiers or boarders although the height and location of Galtur ensures that there is often some impressive off-piste skiing on offer.
