GARGELLEN APRÈS SKI
The ski routes back into Gargellen offer the best après ski options in the ski holiday resort of Gargellen. The last section of the ski piste back into Gargellen is gentle if somewhat narrow in places and there are a number of après ski and umbrella bars lining the route. The bars give the visitors (mainly German) the chance to further amuse the locals, by attempting to remedy ski technique short comings with high levels of intoxication before the final runs back into Gargellen.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Numerous slope-side après ski bars on run back to Gargellen
We don`t like:
As with much of Montafon, the après ski dies down early

GARGELLEN APRÈS SKI INFORMATION
Gargellen and Montafon in general tend to cater to après skiers between mid afternoon and say 19:00. From there guests tend to head back to their hotels to eat. Following that there is little activity beyond the hotel bars. The lack of Dutch, Brits and Scandinavians in Montafon and Gargellen seems to mean that when après ski bars close there is little else going on. The Austrians, Swiss and Germans it seems have less of a stomach for après ski into the evening and night.
