GARGELLEN FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

Gargellen has a number of factors that make it a good option for a family ski holiday. The central kids ski area is ideal for families and their accompanying parents. The area is flat, with numerous activities and is easily reached from the centre of the resort. There is an additional ski area located slightly above the centre of Gargellen, right behind the church that offers a gentle and relaxed ski piste which is ideal for progressing kids (and adults). The ski area at Gargellen proper also offers some great skiing for families and kids, with some gentle and long ski pistes. The runs back into the resort, although a fair length from the top station continue through Gargellen and allow pretty good access to much of the accommodation there.

GARGELLEN FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

The fact that Gargellen is the last settlement on the mountain road means that the through traffic that is common to most Montafon resorts is calmed to an extent. And whilst the ski holiday resort of Gargellen is a reasonable size, it is fairly compact and easy to get around on foot. The lack of facilities compared to other ski holiday resorts in the Montafon region might be a draw-back for family ski holidays and whilst the hotels in Gargellen are pretty well equipped, there is far more in the way of resort amenities in some of the other Montafon ski resorts.

As I have skied there all my life, I can definately confirm that this is the resort to take your family, and particularly young children learning to ski. The resort gives you enough facilities to enjoy time with your children, and also away from them. The Kindergarten is excellent for younger children, and the ski school is brilliant for occupying your older children during the day.
