GASCHURN SKIING
The ski holiday resort of Gaschurn has a learners ski area located at the edge of the village as well as access to the best skiing in the entire Montafon ski region. Whilst the beginners’ area is limited in size, it is a good area for beginners and families to spend time in before progressing up the mountain. The ski area that is accessed from Gaschurn is a respectable size and whilst beginners and intermediates are best suited to this area, there are a couple of token blacks available in the area. There are a couple of fairly tame yet very scenic runs down from the Gaschurn ski into Alpe Nova, from where the St Gallenkirch section of the Silvretta Nova ski area can be reached. This is the biggest sector of the Silvretta Nova area.

GASCHURN SKI INFORMATION
The majority of the Silvretta Nova ski area above St Gallenkirch is best suited to beginners or intermediates and has the majority of the ski lifts and ski pistes in the area. Much of the skiing is above the tree line and exposed, which offers little protection when the weather is poor, whilst in times of good weather it allows great views across the Montafon region and beyond.
