GERLOS SKIING

Gerlos is a central part of the Zillertal Arena ski region. The Zillertal Arena ski region is really superb for intermediate skiers and boarders. The ski pistes are not densely packed and the impressive total of ski pistes stretch a good distance between Zell am Ziller and Hochkrimml. Gerlos is located in the heart of the Zillertal Arena and has the best access to the entire Zillertal Arena of any of the ski holiday resorts there. Whilst steep and tough skiing is more limited than the intermediate skiing, there are some really impressive off-piste areas both in Gerlos and the neighbouring area of Konigsleiten.

GERLOS SKI INFORMATION

Heading west, skiers and borders can reach into the Zell am Ziller ski area via the hugely impressive Wilde Krimml area - the area has some great off-piste but most skiers or borders stick to the undulating and high altitude ski piste that connect the 2 ski areas. The scenery in this area is really quite spectacular although some snowboarders will find some of the flat sections a real bind. A chair with frequent entry and exit stations allows skiers and snowboarders to select which section of the trail they want.
