The ski lift system

For beginners the area is great and for intermediates good. Advanced skiing is limited in the Dachstein West but the Krippenstein Freeride Arena just down the road and on the shared ski pass has some of the best off-piste in the Alps.

Gosau has one of the most charming locations in the Alps, in a gentle valley with river running its length and pretty Austrian buildings.
