HINTERGLEMM SKIING
The location of Hinterglemm on the Ski Circus is at the far western end of the valley and the ski area. It is less easy to get to the distant area above Leogang from Hinterglemm. That said there is a case to suggest that Hinterglemm has the best location for accessing the Ski Circus skiing. Extensive skiing is found on both sides of the valley and lifts leave Hinterglemm accessing this. The area above Hinterglemm is more extensive than Saalbach and Leogang. As with the skiing generally in the ski Circus, the terrain is best suited to the beginner and intermediate skier or boarder. Skiing is both above and below the tree-line. There is little terrain in the entire Ski Circus area that really challenges the better skier or snowboarder.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Extensive ski area, ideal for ski safaris. Posibly the best steep skiing in the ski region.
We don`t like:
Most skiing suites beginners and intermediates

HINTERGLEMM SKI INFORMATION
Of the three principal resorts in the relatively lowly Ski Circus ski region, Hinterglemm is a notable 300m higher than Leogang and 100m higher than Saalbach. In times of warm temperatures this height can of considerable benefit to the lower slopes of Hinterglemm.
