HINTERTUX GLACIER SKI HOLIDAYS

The Hintertux Glacier makes is one of the 5 glacier ski regions in Tirol and is an impressive ski region within the Zillertal 3000 ski region. The skiing on the Hintertux Glacier tends to be steeper than the other glacier skiing areas in Austria and as a result the skiing is better suited to intermediates than beginners. The lift infrastructure is a mix of surface lifts and high capacity modern gondolas, the 3 stage ‘glacier bus’ lift is both comfortable and works in high winds. The ski holiday resort of Hintertux is a mix of large hotels at the end of the valley and offers close proximity to the Hintertux Glacier base station although just a few km’s down the valley is Tux–Lanersbach which offers a pretty resort with access to the Zillertal 3000 ski region.
