HOCHFUGEN THE RESORT

The ski holiday village of Fugen is located down in the Zillertal Valley and is a small and authentic Austrian valley village. The ski lifts out of Fugen access the Spieljoch ski area that is separate to the Hochzillertal-Hochfugen ski areas, whilst Hochfugen is itself accessed from the base station located some 1000m above Fugen and is linked by ski bus. Fugen is a small village, smaller than some others in the region and has access from the main Innsbruck valley and regional airports. In keeping with most towns and villages in the Zillertal Valley, Fugen has an authentic valley feel to it and is a traditional farming settlement.

Hochfugen is served by Fugen down in the Zillertal valley - it is authentic and has reasonable prices but fewer amenities than some local towns.
