HOCHGURGL FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The ski-in, ski-out nature of the ski holiday resort of Hochgurgl is one of the really great aspects for family ski holidays. Access to the lifts is immediate from the accommodation in Hochgurgl as is access at either lunchtime, at the end of the day or in times of bad weather. Accommodation in Hochgurgl tends to be high-end and is often well equipped, offering a very comfortable ski holiday resort stay. Obergurgl is on offer down in the valley for additional entertainment and facilities for those staying in Hochgurgl.

HOCHGURGL FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

The chief drawbacks for family ski holidays in Hochgurgl include the lack of ski holiday resort facilities in Hochgurgl. Outside of the accommodation in Hochgurgl, there is very little in the way of amenities and whilst the accommodation in Hochgurgl includes some impressive hotels, Hochgurgl is lacking somewhat in this area. Obergurgl down in the valley offers far more in the way of resort facilities, although access to and from the skiing is less good than Hochgurgl. The lack of tree cover in the entire Obergurgl - Hochgurgl ski area is also a serious concern for those on a family ski holiday. In times of bad weather the Obergurgl - Hochgurgl ski area can be bleak and unforgiving.
