HOCHGURGL SKI HOLIDAYS
Hochgurgl is the highest ski holiday resort in Austria. It is located at 2150m is entirely ski-in, ski-out. The snow record at that height is as good as it gets in the Alps and whilst the ski holiday resort of Hochgurgl is compact, it has the benefit of being close to its bigger and more famous neighbour, Obergurgl, just down in the valley. The ski holiday resort of Hochgurgl is pretty upmarket, as is its neighbour down in the valley Obergurgl. Accommodation tends to be impressive and the resorts have ample facilities for the visitor. Hochgurgl occupies a wonderful location high on the mountainside although in bad weather both Hochgurgl and Obergurgl can seem extremely isolated, lacking tree cover and exposed to the elements.

HOCHGURGL SKI HOLIDAY INFO
The skiing in the Obergurgl - Hochgurgl ski area is best suited to the intermediate skier. Beginners have ample terrain just above Obergurgl but advanced skiers and boarders will need to go off-piste or choose from the ski routes to get the best action. The height of the Obergurgl - Hochgurgl ski area often ensures good amounts and quality of snow for off-piste but there is no tree cover to help in poor weather.
