HOCHSOLDEN SKIING

Hochsolden is a ski-in, ski-out ski holiday resort with ski pistes and ski lifts both above and below the resort. The skiing that is immediately accessed from Hochsolden is ideal for intermediates with blue pistes located directly above the resort. Below Hochsolden the terrain is more challenging and these slopes can get very crowded at the end of the day with large numbers of skiers and snowboarders heading back to Solden. Usually however those staying in the ski-in, ski-out Hochsolden are able to enjoy early morning open and empty pistes whilst the masses down in Solden make their long way up the mountain.

HOCHSOLDEN SKI INFORMATION

From Hochsolden it is a fairly straightforward route to get to the Rettenbach Glacier, for further intermediate ski terrain and the assurance of good amounts and quality of snow. Again those staying in Hochsolden are often able to beat the crowds from Solden to the empty pistes. From Hochsolden it is also fairly easy to get to the other main Solden ski area, that of the Gaislachkogl, via the Rettenbach Valley.
