HOCHZILLERTAL THE RESORT

The Zillertal ski area Hochzillertal, served by the ski holiday resort of Kaltenbach is located at the head of the hugely impressive Zillertal Valley ski region. Linked to neighbouring ski area of Hochfugen, the combined area offers a good top height of around 2400m, extensive intermediate piste skiing and great access from the Innsbruck valley and regional airports. Kaltenbach is a fair sized resort located in the Zillertal Valley and has a good range of facilities. The lift system combines excellent modern lifts for the majority of the ski pistes with many surface lifts for the beginner areas. For most this is not a concern but for beginners then it is not ideal. There are a number of impressive mountain huts in this very popular ski region.
