This is were it all started for me 32 years ago! this is my favorite ski area in the whole world. it is small and there are only 2 gondolas and 2 chair lifts, but the ski area offers some absolute fantastic off piste skiing. be aware though and don't just follow the tracks from the locals. a lot of the slopes on and off piste are very steep and not suited for beginners.

INNSBRUCK NORDPARK FAMILY HOLIDAYS

The skiing around the Seegrube restaurant attracts many families, most of whom are Innsbruck locals and live in the Northern areas of Innsbruck. The kids and beginners area is compact but ideally located next to the lift station and restaurant. There is a moving carpet, rope tow and a short chair that accesses the main, gentle ski piste in Innsbruck Nordpark. The area has little intermediate terrain to progress into and there is no tree cover around the beginners ski area. That said, the lift complex and restaurant are on hand for times of bad weather.

INNSBRUCK NORDPARK FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

Innsbruck is a superb destination for families. There are numerous attractions including an alpine zoo, many restaurants to choose from and the international airport basically ensures that there is almost no transfer time for guests. Shopping is excellent and there is an impressive hospital that serves the entire region. One real drawback for families taking ski holidays in Innsbruck is that there is little or no slop-side accommodation.

Limited lift system and almost no intermediate skiing but some of the best extreme off-piste and ski routes in the region.
