How you rate it

INNSBRUCK NORDPARK THE RESORT
Innsbruck Nordpark ski area starts from the Innsbruck suburb of Hungerburg, on the Northern edge of the city. Guests using the Innsbruck Nordpark ski area stay here or more usually in the city below. The new Hungerburgbahn funicular leaves from the medieval heart of the Old Town and reaches the base station at Hungerburg. There are numerous hotels located in the central and Old Town areas of Innsbruck and it is a short walk from the heart of the Old Town to the Hungerburgbahn that is located next to the Innsbruck Congress centre. Innsbruck has excellent transport connections in the form of an international airport and railway station for both accessing the city and also taking day trips to other destinations in the region.
THE GOOD, THE BAD

INNSBRUCK NORDPARK RESORT INFORMATION
Innsbruck offers a superb mix of mid-sized city (ca. 120 000 population), a large university, medieval town centre and towering mountains on all sides. Innsbruck is very much an alpine city and most of its residents will be involved in mountain sports, whether through employment or enjoyment. Apres ski is not as evident as in the ski resorts around Innsbruck, but evening entertainment is both diverse and impressive. There are countless restaurants and bars of all descriptions and there is an impressive music and theatre scene. Innsbruck is not your typical ski resort but it is one of the most impressive alpine cities there is.
