INNSBRUCK NORDPARK SKIING
The skiing in Innsbruck Nordpark is not ideal for all. It is pretty ok for beginners and families, terrible for intermediates and one of the best in Austria for advanced skiers and boarders. There is also a terrain park that has an active community. It is for the extreme terrain that Innsbruck Nordpark is revered in and around Innsbruck. The runs that are accessed from the Hafelekar top station are seriously steep and various levels of warning signs are displayed. The most direct route is straight back down from the cable car but there are also some impressive routes under the cable car, as well as along a ridge. None of the skiable terrain from this point is marked or patrolled and is the reserve for the better skiers and boarders.

INNSBRUCK NORDPARK SKI INFORMATION
A new (2007) cable car takes skiers up to the Seegrube from the Hungerburgbahn that leaves the medieval city centre of Innsbruck. Around Seegrube there is a kids / beginners ski area and a steep black heading back towards Innsbruck. The area is popular with families, many of whom learnt to ski there themselves. The large restaurant and terrace at the Seegrube is another feature that attracts families. Intermediate skiers and boarders need to forget about the Innsbruck Nordpark ski area. It is limited in size and what terrain there is, is either very gentle or extreme.
