Innsbruck has city amenities and nightlife that offer the full spectrum of entertainment. Après ski in Innsbruck has a great mix of city sophistication, university life and genuine alpine atmosphere. The bars maybe downtown and ski boots being worn are a rarity but many city bars in Innsbruck see skis resting up against the coat stands. The city is dominated by mountains most people in Innsbruck are involved in some way with them. Bars often feature resort season opening parties to welcome in the start of the winter. In the mountain village resorts that are located around Innsbruck, the après ski and drinking scene is different with traditional village bars and slope-side umbrella bars being the order of the day.
