INNSBRUCK THE RESORT

Innsbruck is a city with holiday resorts dotted all around its fringes. It has an international airport just 3km from its centre and benefits from the large University of Innsbruck campus. The Old Town of Innsbruck offers an impressive medieval atmosphere, whilst the transport links out of Innsbruck are excellent. The famous ski holiday resorts of Kitzbuhel and St Anton are linked by direct train from the main station in Innsbruck, as are the resorts of Seefeld and Zell am See. Innsbruck the city is a good size to walk around and is bisected and dominated by the river Inn. Bars, shops, cinemas and leisure facilities are all available in Innsbruck.

INNSBRUCK RESORT INFORMATION

The holiday villages that sit on plateaus around Innsbruck offer a different feel and range of facilities. The resorts have more direct access to the ski slopes and lifts than Innsbruck does, but they are also smaller and have fewer amenities, the facilities they do have tend to be leisure and guest related whilst Innsbruck offer the whole spectrum of city amenities. Ski buses and trams run between Innsbruck and the ski holiday resorts around Innsbruck so a guest in either location has good access to the other.

We stayed at a hotel in Innusbruck - would recommend this approach for those who also want to go some \"non-ski\" activities. The alpine zoo is well worth a visit.

Highlight though was the night tabogganing paid for by the hotel as we stayed for longer than 3 nights. It was only once a week BUT it worth being there for
