ISCHGL SKI HOLIDAYS
Ischgl offers probably the joint second best ski holiday destination in Austria, pretty much level with Serfaus, Mayrhofen, Solden and the resorts of the Alrberg and behind St Anton. This is because of the big and interesting ski area and if were not for the lack of extreme skiing, Ischgl would be pushing St Anton harder for the number one spot. The village is pedestrianised and there are numerous hotels offering excellent facilities. The après ski is sensational and the ski area has a linked ski area in Samnaun in Switzerland and neighbouring villages such as Kappl and Galtur. The skiing is high and extensive. Downsides include the mayhem on the pistes back to Ischgl and the lack of accommodation, both the result of the popularity of Ischgl.

ISCHGL SKI HOLIDAY INFO
The skiing in Ischgl is expansive and high. The ski terrain stretches far into the distance from Idalp and the area has a good snow record. The runs back to the village and the fact that almost all the skiing is above the tree-line are 2 of the negatives of the Ischgl ski area. Whilst intermediate skiing dominates there is great off-piste.
