KAPPL FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

Kappl actively markets itself as a family ski holiday resort and the slopes are full of families. The dedicated kids learning area based at mid-station and accessed by gondola from Kappl is impressive with plenty of activities and facilities. The skiing in Kappl is best suited to beginners and intermediates and is ideal for progressing families and kids. The run back to Kappl passes by a good deal of accommodation whilst the lift that accessing the Kappl ski area is located beneath the village meaning that much of Kappl is ski-in, ski-out - ideal for families. Another benefit for families is the light traffic; Kappl is located off the main valley road and all traffic in Kappl is local traffic meaning that is lighter than other resorts.

Kappl regularly comes up as one of Autria's best family ski destinations and I can see why, although it could do with a swimming pool. Ski school looked very busy but we only put our youngest (aged 6) into a private lesson for one afternoon (with English instructor - Thomas Ledger if you need to ask for him) and thought it went very well.
There's a big kids area called Sunny Mountain at mid station where the creche etc is. All very well kitted out but as I said, very busy when we were there
