KAPPL SKIING
Kappl is part of the hugely impressive Silvretta ski region in Paznaun and is a neighbour of the highly popular ski holiday resort of Ischgl. Kappl though has its own ski area that is accessed from a gondola beneath Kappl, whilst the ski piste back to Kappl passes by a good deal of accommodation, making the resort partly ski-in, ski-out. The ski area favours the beginner or intermediate and whilst the height of over 2600m ensures that the off-piste skiing can be impressive; the black pistes are not though. Families are particularly well catered for in the Kappl ski area with an impressive dedicated kids ski area located at mid-station. The run back to the resort offers a good length and vertical drop and winds through trees.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
High and with ski pistes back to much of the Kappl accommodation
We don`t like:
The black pistes in Kappl are not challenging

One of the things I liked about the skiing was that on the main chairs you had a blue, red and black to choose from and all (usually) met at bottom.
I will definitely return with family again
