KAUNERTAL GLACIER APRÈS SKI

There are one or two places at the Kaunertal Glacier to buy a beer after the lifts have closed, otherwise carry a 6 pack and enjoy the superb surrounding from the car park. That is about as good as it gets for the après ski at the Kaunertal Glacier. The Kaunertal Glacier is many things but lively and well equipped it is not. The ski holiday villages further down the valley offer more entertainment but at the Kaunertal Glacier there is essentially skiing, a bit of dining on offer and little else.

KAUNERTAL GLACIER APRÈS SKI INFO

The villages further down the Kaunertal Valley offer bars and restaurants but the ski holiday resorts of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis probably offer the best option in the region for apres ski. Fiss in particular has impressive apres ski at the base station area with umbrella bars and the famously lively Hexenalm, complete with swinging lampshades, indoor rain showers and ski boots on tables.

When the weather ist fine, you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the glacier restaurant with a nice view.

There are one or two bars at the glacier but very little else and everyone there has to drive out so any atmosphere soon dies down.
