The Kaunertal Glacier is not very large. And it takes a while to get there. But this can be the advantage of this glacier. On weekends where the Pitztal Glacier is completely crowded, you can have good skiing on the Kaunertal Glacier. Furthermore, they have a great terrain park with obstacles from beginner to pro, really cool now and perfectly shaped! Another ski-lift will be ready to start this year.

There is no resort, it's only the glacier.

When the weather ist fine, you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the glacier restaurant with a nice view.

A few drag lifts and nothing for better skiers or snowboarders. But if you want fast, wide, flat cruising then Kaunertal is excellent. Huge jumps in the terrain park.

There is basically almost nothing at the glacier itself and nothing close by as it is a protected park, but down the Kaunertal valley there are some small attractive resorts to stay in.

Nothing really at the glacier but the resorts down the valley are fine for families.

There are one or two bars at the glacier but very little else and everyone there has to drive out so any atmosphere soon dies down.
