KAUNERTAL GLACIER SKI HOLIDAYS

The Kaunertal Glacier is located in the region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis but is a good distance from any major settlements. This is part of the beauty of the area but also the reason that it is not widely visited by more non-Austrian skiers and snowboarders. The Kaunertal Glacier is located in a remote and real wilderness region with dramatic scenery but nothing beyond the ski lift infrastructure and amenities. Of all the Austrian glacier skiing regions it is the least developed and has no accommodation in the immediate vicinity. Being a glacier, the Kaunertal Glacier is snow-sure and has the advantage of some interesting routes beyond the extent of the glacier down to one of the major chair lifts. It also has an impressive park.
