KUHTAI THE RESORT
Kuhtai is unusual for an Austrian ski resort. It is purpose built in an area that was once dominated by farming but was never really a settlement of any size. Whilst the village of Kuhtai lacks some of the charm that many Austrian ski villages exude, it has developed in an attractive way with some grand hotels and pretty little bars and restaurants. It is a ribbon development that spreads along the road. With skiing on both sides of the valley and all accommodation there is basically ski-in, ski-out. The main car park for day visitors is located at the edge of Kuhtai and aside from the morning and afternoon traffic on weekends, then the road through the village is never too busy. Night skiing and a floodlit toboggan run are good entertainment in the evenings.
THE GOOD, THE BAD

KUHTAI RESORT INFORMATION
The height of the resort of Kuhtai is one of the main draws, however this along with the isolation of the village are the principal shortcomings. The snow is usually great and some of the best in the area. And the fact that the resort is small means that all accommodation has great access to the ski areas. However there is little in the close vicinity in the way of distractions away from the slopes. Innsbruck is an hour or so away and outside of the hotels there are limited amenities.
