As a complete beginner i found it rather difficult. Some of the runs were a bit icy and steep.

Kühtai is one of the highest skiing resorts in Austria. The resort itself is not very large, but if you have your hiking skins with, you can have a lot of fun there. Especially the the ride down to Sellrain. Beginners can have a few problems, some slopes become steep towards Kühtai. But there are easy ways to go around the steep slopes.

Great ski-in, ski-out resort for beginners and ok for intermediates although possibly not big enough for better intermediates for week long stays. Experts should go elsewhere, whilst the most popular off-piste seems to be down the rear of the local hydro dam!

Attractive enough but can be bleak in bad weather. Most of the facilities are accommodation based.

Kuhtai is a good option for families – compact, easy ski area with ski-in, ski-out accommodation.

Some ok après ski bars but you have to seek them out. Prices can be a bit higher than other ski holiday resorts in Austria.
