LECH FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

Lech, whilst lacking any really substantial communal resort facilities has some excellent hotels offering a variety of facilities. A good number of hotels offer swimming as well as Spa facilities. With great access to and from Lech accommodation to the slopes and lifts then Lech is ideal for families. Whilst traffic is one of the main negatives in Lech it is often slow or standing and across the river from the main street there is little or no traffic at all. The skiing tends to favour the family as well with endless beginner and intermediate pistes. Most evening entertainment is hotel based but outdoor activities such as tobogganing are offered in Lech.

Most activity is hotel / accommodation based. Heavy traffic at peaks times in Lech.

LECH FAMILY SKI HOLIDAY INFORMATION

The skiing in Lech has the advantage of the lower slopes being below the tree-line which is always helpful for trying to keep track of kids. Zurs on the other hand offers terrain that is exclusively above the tree-line with poor visibility in bad weather conditions.

Stayed in Oberlech which in my opinion is a better base for families - free creche, on slope and great toboggan run down to Lech. Have 3 kids (4 7 and 10) and the 4 year old was the only one in ski school. Was a wee bit disappointed that he was not taken up the hill, when most of the kids were. The ski instructor did not seem that interested. We did get our older 2 a private lesson during lunch - which is great value by the way! - and thought the instructor was excellent.
