Half our group snow boarded and half skied and both groups had a fantastic time, the beginers had lots of choice on gentle blue runs and the advanced skier/boarder had plenty choice on various black runs including the devils run and the hakari

It is a nice village with plently of attractions including ice skating, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants etc. There is always a lively buzz to the place

The prices were ok but the atmosphere was fantastic. Go from the bar at the top of the gondola to the ice bar, home get changed, quick bite to eat and off to scotland yard, aerna and finally snusell, if you can hack this you'll be awake till 5.30am... great apres ski!!

One of the gems of Austria! Best for intermetdiate skiiers and snowboarders alike. Night life is excellent.

Gorgeous little town. Everything is within easy walking distance. Bit pricier than some European places, but not excessive.

When the big snow dumps come in, this resort has some of the best snowboard runs on offer as well as easily accessible off piste. definitely my favourite european resort.

None of that horrible french concrete, mayrhofen is a genuine austrian town with real atmospshere and friendly locals. cannot recommend it enough!

Overall a good resort, a lot of virity, mainly for more advanced skiers as moving around from peiste to peiste requires good ability in traversing black to red.

Overall has a nice, quaint alpine theme. Some of the architecture is a little tacky, but the atmosphere was amazing. Maight be due to the many fellow students around.

Depends when you travell. I visted during WInterbreak and am going back. I would not advise a fmaily trip during the same time, as there are quite a few intoxicated students roaming the streets till the early hours.

AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING. BESICALLY A VERY GOOD MUSIC LINE UP, the bars are priced quite well espicall for Austria. The clubs are a good size not to big, but big enough if u know what i mean.

Very good terrain park, yet only built if there is enough snow, which there was not on the prior years trip. More snowboard orientated slopes in the heart of the piste layout, yet some real gems to be found if ventured further a field.

Very attractive, traditional village. Apres-ski is fantastic, range of good shops, great bars and a very lively nightclub. The ice rink also offers a good leisure alternative. Prices are generally much cheaper than most resorts, however drinks can be a bit pricey.

Potentially excellent, yet it would be wise to avoid the student packed events such as snowbombing and winterbreak.

The snow on the mountain is good quality and is maintained very well. There are a multitude of runs both on the north and south side of the mountain surrounded by lovelly tree lines for those of you who like to shoot off piste and have some fun like myself. For the more adventurous skier there are 22km of black runs including the steepest run in Austria, the infamous Hara Kiri with a 78% gradient. Finally for those freestyle guru's there is the Burton Park which has a huge variety of kickers, boxes and rails to play on, ranging from beginner to pro-line which is totally off the wall.

The resort itself is a very pretty austrian town which sits nicely in the valley. Being a working town the prices for food and drink from the supermarkets is reasonably priced and there is a huge variety of shops on the high street so you will never struggle finding whatever you left at home!!

Mayrhofen is a fantastic resort with a thriving nightlife for all ages. Speaking as a student, There are many places to go to drink including the infamous Scotland Yard!!! what a place, oh and you cant forget Sports bar and Arena. The locals are all really friendly consisting of a diversity of nationalities and they are always up for a laugh. Theres some great restaurants too!!

One of my favourite resorts. The fun park is famous for its great atmosphere and the good shape obstacles. The whole Zillertal is a fascinating ski holiday region and so is Mayrhofen. The wohle skiing are is really hughe and offers a great variety of slopes. From beginner to advanced.

There are a lot of private appartements or guesthouses, so you can get there ski holidays for a very reasonable price.

Especialy Mayrhofen offers great Après-Ski facilities, Laterndl Pub, Finkennest to name only a few.

Mayrhofen is hell of a place to party - but you have also good variety of restaurants and decent clubs and bars.

When I was there it was quite crowded in some areas as it was high season, but then we took the lift over to the Lanersbach area and it was deserted - whole pistes to ourselves! Very impressed!

A pretty resort with pedestrian area and pretty little church. Loads of good facilities, leisure centre etc

Great apres ski bars right at the bottom of the lift station - and good huts and igloo bar on the piste if you want to start early. Later on there are certain places to go to carry on, but if you prefer a day off, you can just chill out at a bar or restaurant.

I had a great time at this resort! Lots of snow and varied terrain. Plenty of lifts to help with the crowds. Killer terrain park, with amazing superpipe!

Great resort for families. Offers slopes for all abilities, and the ski village is very family-friendly.

Apres ski offers lively nightlife assuring a good time had by all!

Superb skiing across the levels, beginners have their own ski area – the Ahorn, Mayrhofen has the steepest groomed slope in Austria and great off-piste, whilst the Mayrhofen terrain park is one of the best in the Alps. The skiing is also high; the only downside is the lack of ski piste back to Mayrhofen.

Great and sprawling resort in valley base with good range of facilities and superb après ski.

The Ahorn side of the valley is ideal for families and the resort has some great facilities.

At the top of the of après ski in Austria, just behind St Anton, Solden, Kitzbuhel and Ischgl.
