MAYRHOFEN SKI HOLIDAYS

Mayrhofen is one of the leading ski holiday resorts in Austria, offering a good snow record, the leading terrain park in Austria, glacier skiing nearby and a pulsating après ski scene. The skiing in Mayrhofen is extensive with a good mix of terrain for all abilities and the famously steep Harakiri, the steepest pisted run in Austria. Mayrhofen is fairly upmarket but prices are reasonable and in line with most other resorts. In fact with a glacier, the steepest run in Austria and an extensive area, then Mayrhofen would seem to have it all skiing wise. The one downside to the Mayrhofen ski area is the fact that Mayrhofen has no pistes running back to the resort from the ski area, although neighbouring villages are accessible.

MAYRHOFEN SKI HOLIDAY INFO

First and foremost Mayrhofen has an outstanding ski area. It is big and varied on the Penken side and wide and gentle across the valley on the Ahorn side. The snow record especially on the Penken side of the valley is excellent whilst the nearby Hintertux glacier is snow-sure and most of the year has outstanding snow quality.
