MOLLTALER GLACIER SKIING

Located at the middle station (which in fact is the glacier base station or the top of the funicular and the lowest point for skiing on the Molltaler Glacier) is a langlauf ski track and the main learning area on the Molltaler Glacier. Beyond that at the Eissee Restaurant and lift station is the main ski area on the Molltaler Glacier. All levels of ski piste are available here as well as the Molltaler Glacier Fun Park. Views from this area as well as the top lift station at 3122m are impressive with the Grossglockner peak (Austrias’ highest) close by. The snow quality at this height is also often superb.

MOLLTALER GLACIER SKI INFORMATION

The skiing on the Molltaler Glacier amounts to over 50km of ski pistes with the range of piste classification spread fairly evenly across blue, red and black ski pistes. The various grades of ski pistes are also impressively spread with blue, red and black options on offer from the Schareck, the top station of the Molltaler Glacier located at 3122m, right down to the bottom of the Klühspies chairlift. Getting from the main ski area down to the glacier base station, at the top of the funicular involves either red or black pistes or the option of downloading in the Eissee gondola.
