MONTAFON FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The ski areas of Golm, Hochjoch, Silvretta Nova and Gargellen all cater for family skiing and have family ski provision and dedicated areas. Of the ski regions then possibly Gargellen offers the best option. Gargellen is a quiet ski holiday resort that is the last settlement on the mountain road running to the resort; traffic tends to be local rather than through-traffic. There is a central kids ski area that is easily reached from the resort and there is also a beginners ski area and tow located just behind the church in Gargellen. The ski area is also good for progressing kids. Facilities in Gargellen are more limited than some of the others resorts in Montafon but the hotels in Gargellen are pretty well equipped in general.

Good terrain generally for kids and beginners, with plenty of kids skiing facilities on the mountains

MONTAFON FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

Families needing more resort facilities would be better heading for Schruns, Tschagguns or Vandans. All three ski holiday resorts are bigger than Gargellen. Access to the skiing, in particular is less convenient than Gargellen but off the slopes then these ski holiday resorts have a fair amount of facilities for family ski holidays.
