MUTTERS SKI HOLIDAYS
The ski holiday resort of Mutters is located above Innsbruck and is now lift linked to the neighbouring ski village of Gotzens. Mutters is a wonderfully pretty and authentic farming village above Innsbruck, whilst the skiing is ideal for beginners and families. The skiing takes place just above Mutters and there has been substantial investment in the ski area and lifts since 2006. This has included an all new base station and gondola, new lifts on the mountain and an impressive new restaurant. As well as the improvements at Mutters itself the ski area has expanded to bring in Gotzens and there are plans now to link the ski area into Axamer Lizum, the highly impressive ski area located above and to the west of Mutters.

MUTTERS SKI HOLIDAY INFO
The Gotzens ski area is connected at the top point of the Mutters ski area and offers an impressive and lengthy run back down into Gotzens. The ski piste is not as gentle as the one which leads into Mutters, with a steep section just above the base station at Gotzens. Intermediates are fine on the piste but families and beginners are best to stick to the Mutters ski pistes. Further a field is the highly impressive ski area at Axamer Lizum, rated as one of the best in the Innsbruck region. As of 2008 there is no lift link into Axamer Lizum from Mutters but it is possible to ski from Axamer Lizum into Mutters.
