The Nassfeld is a ski resort which offers a greate variety. Easy cruising on the pistes, some really challenging pistes and a greate backcountry. In addition the atmosphere is really special. Especially when cruising down towards the central lift station, you pass a few older hats which gives you the experience of cruising through a village on ski.

NASSFELD SKI HOLIDAYS

Nassfeld is one of the less well known ski holiday resorts outside of Austrian and Italy. It is located on the border with Italy and the ski area has some routes down into the Italian side of the area. Nassfeld is rated as the biggest, best and most modern of ski area in Carinthia and enjoys excellent connections with the nearby Klagenfurt airport. Being located in the southern Alps of Austria, Nassfeld boasts an excellent sunshine and hours of daylight record in the winter months. The Nassfeld ski area extends to over 100km of ski pistes and the modern lift system is complemented by a mixture of old and new mountain huts that serve up a regional menu that has influences from Austria, Italy and Slovenia.

NASSFELD SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The skiing in Nassfeld is extensive and caters best for the beginner or intermediate skier. Experts will need to go off-piste to find their kicks. The lift system is modern and impressive. Après ski in Nassfeld stars on the mountain and continues at the base station in Tropolach. The action tends to disperse in the evening with local villages in the valley having some lively bars. The modern lifts, extensive easy skiing and the relaxed villages are all advantages for family ski holidays. Ski buses are required from all villages outside of Tropolach.
