NEUSTIFT FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The Stubai Glacier which is the main ski area for visitors to the resort of Neustift offers a superb childrens’ learning and crèche area at the Gamsgarten lift station. The childrens’ area is located right next to the lift station / complex and parents can easily drop off their kids or watch them ski from the comfort of the terrace at the Gamsgarten. There is a Mickey Mouse club for kids and the facilities / services include ski lessons, catering, an indoor playroom as well as activities such as painting and reading. For families with kids of a higher level of skiing then the Stubai Glacier offers superb, wide and gentle ski pistes to practice on. Many of the lifts are enclosed gondolas and the chair lifts mainly come with weather bubbles.

NEUSTIFT FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

The skiing on the glacier has a couple of drawbacks including the need to take a ski bus to it and the fact that the skiing is all above the tree-line, which is not ideal when the weather is poor. Generally though, the Stubai Glacier offers excellent terrain and facilities for families. The resort of Neustift has numerous facilities as well that suit the family including a leisure complex with an indoor swimming pool and tobogganing on the local mountains. Innsbruck is easily accessible by public transport and offers a whole variety of attractions.
