WILDSCHONAU THE RESORTS

Niederau is the main resort in the Wildschonau and has long attracted the majority of the skiers to the area. Niederau accesses the second largest ski area in the Wildschonau and has a good range of hotels and entertainment, most of which have good access to the slopes. Oberau is the biggest village in the Wildschonau and is the administrative centre; it accesses the smallest ski in the Wildschonau but is also pretty. Auffach is the smallest of the villages in the Wildschonau but access the biggest and the highest of the Wildschonau ski areas. All of the villages are connected by ski buses.

WILDSCHONAU RESORT INFORMATION

The villages of Niederau, Oberau and Auffach in the Wildschonau ski area are pretty and traditional resort villages. Traffic tends to be light through the villages (but for Saturdays) since Wildschonau has not access from it to the south.

Attractive resorts in the valley and a good alpine spirit, the villages are well geared for tourists.
