OBERGURGL FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The location of Obergurgl at the far reaches of the Otztal Valley ensures that there is no through traffic and all traffic is local and generally light. Beyond the turning circle in the road around the church, in the centre of Obergurgl, the village is pretty much pedestrianised with a number of shops, accommodation and some slope-side bars. A number of hotels in Obergurgl are sizeable and offer good facilities and service for families. The childrens learning area is located right on the edge of the village. A ski piste / track borders the village offering access to many parts of the village meaning that there is good access between accommodation and the ski slopes in a number of parts of the village. Toboggan tracks above Obergurgl are a good distraction.

OBERGURGL FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

With light traffic, good access to the slopes from much of Obergurgl, some impressive and well equipped resort hotels and an extensive network of beginner and intermediate slopes then Obergurgl has much to offer the family. Obergurgl offers far more facilities than Hochgurgl although Hochgurgl has superb access to the slopes and some good hotels. The only real drawback for families skiing in Obergurgl is the fact that the skiing basically all takes place above the tree-line and can suffer in poor weather.

Didn't use creche as our boys now skking faster than us! Resort is totrally geared up for families. Feels very safe and everywhere is easy to get to and work out.
