Every year the Skiing Worldcup starts with a great event in Sölden on the glacier. The giant slalom is one of the most challenging in the whole season. The Ötztal glacier is perfect for praticing ski skills in the early season and also when you are looking for new ski equipment, because some popular ski brands have test center there, where you can ski in / ski out with the latest skis.

Sölden is really a great destination for Apres Ski. As Sölden is not very big, you can easily reach every important location, many of them within walking distance.

Solden glacier is great for intermediates with wide and gentle pistes. Advanced skiing is limited but the height and snow quality ensures good off-piste – guides required!

The two glacier base stations have no accommodation so all visitors stay down in Solden, one of the mega resorts of the Alps. Attractive but for the busy road and full of facilities.
